PATNA:
K C Saha, a 1975-batch IAS official, has been appointed new chairman of
the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). He replaces R J M Pillai
whose tenure ended on Tuesday. A silent performer, Saha while in
the IAS last served as development commissioner. There were reports of
his proposed elevation as chief secretary but the government appointed
his batch-mate Navin Kumar on the top IAS post in the state. Scheduled
to retire in 2013, Saha applied for voluntary retirement citing personal
reasons. He retired from IAS on Tuesday.
